Lucy Davies MA, PhD is an Assistant Professor in education in the School of Education at Durham University, UK. Her research interests are in engagement in learning and in creative thinking. She has worked as a lead researcher on the Durham Commission on Creativity, since the project began in 2017.Recent publications include Teachers’ pedagogies and strategies of engagement (2018) and Creativity as a Twenty-First-Century Competence: An Exploratory Study of Provision and Reality (2017) co-authored with Professor Douglas P. Newton and Professor Lynn D. Newton.
