Andrea McCluskey is the Director of Micro-Communities – responsible for the Aboriginal Student Services Centre, Immigrant and Refugee Student Support, and International Student Services – at the University of Winnipeg. She has worked as a consultant in more than 40 Indigenous communities across Manitoba, served as coordinator for various federal Job-Finding Clubs and Entry/Re-entry Programs throughout the province, and been the facilitator for a number of internationally acclaimed projects, including Lost Prizes (an initiative to reclaim high-school dropouts), Northern Lights (to turn around the lives of at-risk Aboriginal teens), and Second Chance (a pre-release program for Indigenous inmates). Andrea is co-author of several articles and chapters about these programs, and co-author (with Ken) of the best-selling book, Understanding ADHD: Our Personal Journey. In recognition of her outreach efforts, she was awarded the Clarence Atchison Award for Excellence in Community Service at UW’s 2014 Convocation.
